Welcome to our latest Design Insights interview! For this special #LoveToGive edition, we welcome talented interior and beauty blogger, Judith Haberberg from lifestyle.paris. With only a few weeks until the festive season begins, we talk all things #LoveToGive, so come on, let’s get chatting!
Festive style. What’s your favourite thing about seasonal style in the home?
Christmas is a special and magical season for me, especially since my daughters were born. I am the first one to take out strings of fairy lights and candles to create a particular warm atmosphere. I often change atmosphere and decorations and add and remove touches of color according to the seasons.
Let’s talk presents…Nice to give and nice to receive, from our stocking filler corkscrews to our newest answer to food waste, our fab storage jars with measuring cups, which Brabantia must-have you would #LoveToGive this holiday season?
I find the idea of the glass measuring jar intelligent and practical, I would give it as a gift with no problem at all!
Culinary inspiration. What’s your favourite festive recipe and come on, share your secret, which of our fab #LoveToGive kitchen utensils help make baking your go-to pleasure?
My husband, golden chef. I have to admit that I do not cook except to make cakes with my children. On the other hand, the decoration, the table, the lighting is my area of expertise. We’re a good team. I find that Brabantia utensils are beautiful besides being practical and cunning.
Take it easy. Give us your top tip for stress-free entertaining over the festive period!
We say to ourselves every year to wait to buy and decorate our Christmas tree and every year it’s the same story, we fail from the first weekend of December! It’s a little hurried but we put some music on and decorate it all together, in a brief ‘real’ family moment!
Love the planet. Any tips on how you recycle your festive waste and make food go that little bit further this holiday season?
I like the planet but I realize that I do not make enough effort. I sort out my waste and use jars to preserve my food. Concerning Bo, I find him a smart and uncluttered design – rare for a trash can. It is a real element of decoration! I am sure that he is also very functional.
