With Pantone having its finger on the pulse when it comes to all things colour, we always love learning which hues are forecast to take centre stage for the coming season, in their latest Fashion Colour Report.
The 2017 Spring Report brings together 10 shades bursting with vitality, relaxation, and colours reminiscent of the great outdoors. And we love them all, including Pantone’s colour of the year, Greenery. What’s not to love!
With shades pulled from nature, there’s the warmth of a sunny summer day (Primrose Yellow), mixed with that of cool tropical waters (Island Paradise). But don’t overlook the subtlety and calmness found in Dogwood Pink. This contrasts with the brightness of Flame; a gregarious and fun-loving coral, perfect for taking us through to summer.
“Reminiscent of the hues that surround us in nature, our Spring 2017 Fashion Colour Report evokes a spectrum of emotion and feeling,” adds Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute.
But, star of the show this Spring, is Niagara. A classic denim-like blue that is all about ease and comfort, Pantone forecast this colour will be everywhere and they’re not wrong. Worked with the darker shades of Kale, Greenery and Lapis Blue, it shines. And then try it with Hazelnut or Pale Dogwood, for a sense of calm and tranquillity.
Hats off to Pantone, these are colours to celebrate! And check out our new Look Book to see how you can add a dash of colour into your world!
