How to use orange in your home decor

Brabantia Chrome Orange BinJust as at Christmas time everything seems to turn red and green, right now orange is most certainly the colour du jour. It is an amazingly versatile colour in interior design, and the perfect colour for autumn and Halloween!

And according to Elle, orange is the new black on the New York catwalks.

Here at BrabantiaLife we think orange is simply gorgeous in the home when used thoughtfully – it’s perfect for adding fun bursts of colour and striking accents against neutrals and monochrome schemes.

Interior designer Jill Goldberg agrees. In a recent article for the Huffington Post she writes of “the beauty of this hue as a pop of color or a detail in a room, perhaps on a table or on a wall.”

Goldberg continues: “Orange can incorporate easily into a neutral space or even in a room full of colour: a toss pillow on a drab sofa, a cashmere blanket thrown over the back of a lifeless leather chair, or something as small as a matchbox cover sitting in the middle of any tablescape.”

We couldn’t agree more!

Brabantia’s Touch Bin® in chrome orange is a simple way to bring this ‘pop’ of colour into a kitchen, or how about our Quickpull corkscrew?  Have a look at our Pinterest Colour Inspiration Board for more ideas.
