A few months on from the launch of our Get Together tableware range, we’re delighted to see that purple is still proving to be an extremely popular interiors look and we’ve introduced the colourway to a number of our lines this season too.
From catwalks to high street fashion, interior design to new Pantone tones, the colour Purple is a must-have colourway. And, it works so well with other colours too. Fashion’s coolest clashes for 2011 – orange and purple – has became one of the most popular colour combinations of the season. With the help of Gucci and Diane von Furstenberg, Kim Kardashian, Cheryl Cole and Jessica Alba have all been rocking the look on the red carpet recently.
Fashion writer Cynthis Nellis advises:
Don’t save deep purple just for colder months (although it looks rich in the fall and winter). A darker shade of purple adds a jolt of sophistication to work wear (pair a purple blouse with a pencil skirt) and casual wear (purple goes great with denim).
In the home adding a touch of rich dark purple colours can really add drama and style to any room’s decor. Bold shades of deep purple are seen as a classy yet understated way to put a hint of colour into a room, while still maintaining a chic and dignified tone.
Rich berry hues create a seductive grown-up feel, while accents of gold for fabric and accessories provide a luxurious finish. Deep upholstered chairs lend hotel chic, perfect for relaxing in during a meal and, later on, for enjoying a nightcap by the fire.
Well here at Brabantia we want to share our love of purple with you too so we’ve created a Colour Your Bin in the colourway! Our Violet Purple 45 litre Touch Bin® has a number of hallmark features, including ‘soft touch’ opening for an easy and light operation, and a unique hinge design which means the lid opens silently.
